Applications

Office Buildings

With increasing numbers of people cycling to work it is essential that offices can provide adequate facilities for staff to dry their wet clothing. Having a drying room in the building creates a dedicated space for this instead of hanging up wet gear in the office area. With more and more companies focusing on the well-being of their staff and the environment they work in, drying rooms are an essential part of corporate social responsibility.

How a dehumidifier works

The high-performance dehumidifiers recirculate the air and physically remove moisture from it. This alleviates the need to continuously reheat incoming air. Not only that, the units convert energy taken out of the room as moisture to provide useful heat to warm the room, accelerating the drying process.

Cost savings
Calorex dehumidifiers provide an efficient and cost effective alternative to drying using heat alone. The potential energy savings are huge as every unit of energy that our dehumidifiers consume, it will convert 2.5 times this amount to usable heat. In fact, compared to traditional heat and ventilation energy, cost savings of 75% are not unusual.

Installation
You can turn any room into a drying room just by using one of our dehumidifiers. Installations can be straightforward, as it only requires positioning, connecting a power supply and drain. The units have combined heating and drying so there is no need for separate heaters, fans and extraction systems.

Zoe INTL manufacture dehumidifiers in a range of sizes to suit any space. Whatever you need, Zoe INTL, Calorex, Aerial and Master have the solution.

All products are supported by an in-house applications department and nationwide service network.

How to Heat Water Efficiently in Hotels

Heating hot water in hotels is an expensive business.

With world-wide spiralling energy costs and increased demand for both energy efficiency and reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, more and more hotels are turning to Zoe INTL heat pumps to solve their water heating demands.

Hot water heat pumps are particularly suited to hotter climates such as the Middle East and South East Asia, and Zoe INTL heat pumps are specifically designed to maximise the benefit these temperate climates offer. All Zoe INTL hot water heat pumps are pre-charged with R134a – an ozone friendly refrigerant that can reliably provide hot water up to 68°C – and in all climates, hot or cold. Many hotels in the Far East and Middle East such as Hilton, Holiday Inn, Marriott, InterContinental and Ritz-Carlton, to name a few, have already recognised the benefit of this win-win situation by installing Zoe INTL heat pumps and currently enjoy 24/7 low cost hot water production.

As a further benefit all Zoe INTL heat pumps have industry leading efficiencies and exceptionally quiet cutting edge fans. They also feature WRAS approved heat exchangers. WRAS is a conformance mark that demonstrates that an item complies to strict standards set out by UK water regulations.

The solution

Zoe INTL air source heat pumps use dynamic renewable technology sourcing heat from every climatic condition and are available in different designs to suit space or hot water heating.

Unlike fossil fuel and direct electric heating systems, a Zoe INTL heat pump is capable of delivering up to five times more energy than it consumes, and unlike solar and wind powered systems, Zoe INTL heat pumps do not need the sun to shine or the wind to blow in order to provide this efficiency.

Heat pumps

Zoe INTL hot water heat pumps are electro mechanical machines that extract energy from an air source and upgrade this energy to a usable form of heat that is rejected to a water system. With efficiencies of up to 500% – most of the energy that is provided is absorbed completely free of charge from ambient air around the heat pump.

Heat pumps are practical devices that can be used in a wide range of heating, cooling or dehumidification applications. Unquestionably an energy efficient product, unique in its ability to concentrate and supply more energy that it consumes, a heat pump is a real alternative to conventional heating systems.

Installation

Zoe INTL heat pumps are simple to install, require little maintenance and alleviate the need for fuel storage tanks and flues that are normally associated with fossil fuel heating systems. Further, due to their unique ability to collect and enhance “free” heat from the air around them, they are kinder to the environment than traditional heating systems and exceptionally inexpensive to operate.

Pro-Pac heat pumps can be installed outside or in a plant room that has adjacent outside walls. Pro-Pac can be supplied with high speed axial fans. The Zoe INTL 34 range are designed for outdoor or plant room installation and are provided with centrifugal fans as standard. A choice of fan external static pressure offers flexible installation and an ability for the units to provide cold air through a ducted system.

All products are supported by an in-house applications department and nationwide service network.

Galleries

Zoe INTL dehumidifiers provide a reliable and efficient method of solving problems of excess moisture and condensation that cause damage and deterioration to ensure the safe storage of irreplaceable works of art.

Providing the correct environmental conditions to preserve these items is vital and our range of powerful dehumidifiers offer the ideal means of preserving and protecting them from humidity damage. They are equally suitable for humidity control in warehouses, castles and historic buildings where excess humidity is a significant problem without a professional dehumidification solution.

Effective dehumidification provides maximum protection in museums and historic buildings where priceless exhibits and artefacts are stored. For example, if the relative humidity is too high, condensation can form on surfaces and mould and rot can set in, and the rising and falling of humidity levels can cause degradation. This can, however, be avoided by maintaining the relative humidity at both correct level, and importantly at a stable level. Their functionality and easy operation make them ideal for large period properties, museums and archives and anywhere where preservation is vital.

Cost savings
Typically, as a by-product of the dehumidification process, for every unit of energy that our dehumidifier consumers, it will convert 2.5 times this amount to useable heat. The potential energy savings are huge. In fact, compared to using heating to try and control humidity levels, cost savings of 500% are not unusual. The units have built in humidity control, so will never waste energy when the correct humidity is reached, and there is no possibility of drying out the space too much.

Installation
Our dehumidifiers have a flexible design and are fully packaged, easy to install and can operate efficiently over an ambient air temperature range of between 0 and 40°C.
